CONCERTO FOR GIN
The Edinburgh Fringe is the worlds’ largest arts festival and an opportunity to explore the best that Scotland and the world have to offer. The Scottish Gin Society was delighted to learn that Amanda Currie (better known as The Bonnie Bartender) was taking a show to the Fringe.
Amanda, who is a classically trained musician herself, has partnered with best friend and pianist Fraser Harrington to create a Concerto for Gin.
The show itself is “premium Scottish gin and piano music delivered by two equally Scottish people”. An intimate experience with just 25 seats per show, this is an opportunity to learn about and taste Scottish gins as you enjoy piano music from that same region.
We knew that we, and our friends, had to be the first to sample the show. It was our pleasure to invite Amanda and Fraser to perform a preview of Concerto for Gin in Glasgow. On a summers evening, in the candle-lit embrace of Sloans’ impressive ballroom, we were treated to a sample of the music and enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the show.
We won’t give away too much but let’s just say that we love the gins that have been chosen, were romanced by the beautiful music and think that Amanda is a wonderful host. We heartily encourage you to enjoy the Concerto for Gin, and to join us in raising a glass to two premium Scottish people.
Whilst the Saturday show is sold out, you can still get tickets for the Tuesday and Thursday shows, here: https://tickets.edfringe.com/whats-on/concerto-for-gin-a-tour-of-scotland
