New Cask Matured Quercus Alba Gin launched from GoodWill
Something new and a bit special has been released by GlenWyvis Distillery, home of Goodwill Gin.
GoodWill Quercus Alba is a cask matured, limited edition Scottish craft gin. Their signature gin has been aged in a single American Standard Barrel, so the ‘white oak’ releases light vanilla notes during maturation to complement the crisp aromas and full flavours created by the nine premium botanicals at the heart of GlenWyvis GoodWill Gin.
Tasting Notes
On the Nose: Initial distinct citrus notes which then give way to pleasant sweet vanilla and butterscotch, with discrete juniper undernotes.
In the Mouth: Orange zest and lemongrass mingle with vanilla custard making for a subtly sweet gin experience.
To Finish: Long and warming with the vanilla yielding to a rose Turkish delight and parma violet finish, but not overly intense.
