Gold medal for Wild Thyme Spirits in USA Competition

We’re excited to share the news that Colonsay’s Wild Thyme Spirits have taken a Gold Medal and two silver medals home at the 2020 USA Spirits Ratings Competition

They received a gold medal for the Colonsay Red Snapper, as well as two silver medals for the Bramble Liqueur and their classic Colonsay Gin at the USA Spirits Ratings Competition.

This year’s winners were selected by a panel of high-profile spirits industry judges who scored each spirit in three different categories – Quality, Value and Packaging. Judges included professionals from leading retail
chains, wholesalers, distributors, speciality retailers and casual and fine dining establishments. The inclusion of so many high-profile judges ensured that spirits awarded medals in the competition were those with a
broad consumer appeal.

Receiving a gold medal-winning mark of 93/100, Colonsay Red Snapper scored heavily in all three categories for Quality, Value & Packaging. Colonsay Red Snapper – an innovative twist on the classic vodka Bloody Mary – is a ready-to-drink spicy, tomato juice and gin cocktail made from a blend of the freshest tomatoes, spices and of course, Colonsay Gin. Its intense and rich ingredients create a refreshing pick-me-up drink which packs a spicy alcoholic punch. Both the Colonsay Bramble Liqueur and Colonsay Gin scored 87 and 86 respectively,
awarding them both silver medals.
